🧪 Job Title:

T1D Immunology Medical Science Liaison
Location: US Remote/Field – New York Region


🩺 About the Role:

As a T1D Immunology Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will play a critical role in advancing Sanofi's autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes (aT1D) portfolio—especially teplizumab—by developing strategic medical plans, building KOL relationships, and driving scientific innovation that improves patient outcomes.

You’ll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to co-create impactful account strategies and support education, awareness, and implementation of early-stage T1D screening and care within your assigned geography.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Medical Account Strategy & Execution

  • Develop, gain approval for, and update account-specific strategic plans.

  • Collaborate with the Field Medical Director to anticipate pre- and peri-launch needs.

  • Maintain a business and scientific mindset while executing strategic imperatives.

2. Medical Engagement & KOL Development

  • Build and expand relationships with KOLs and HCPs within priority accounts.

  • Drive awareness of T1D screening, staging, and monitoring among primary care providers.

  • Create clinical value through innovative field engagement and solution development.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Integrate medical insights into commercial and patient support initiatives.

  • Actively engage with matrix teams (e.g., Public Health, Corporate Affairs, Commercial).

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to strategy alignment.

4. Community & Public Health Initiatives

  • Support educational events in collaboration with Public Health and Commercial teams.

  • Participate in medical-led screening events and local congresses.

  • Partner with patient advocacy groups (PAGs) to deliver education per global standards.

5. Clinical Trial Support

  • Identify and support clinical trial and registry sites.

  • Provide ongoing support throughout the trial lifecycle.

6. Scientific Excellence & Insight Gathering

  • Communicate Sanofi’s product value in an accurate, balanced way.

  • Share key medical insights via CRM and contribute to data-driven planning.

  • Stay current on regulatory, scientific, and technological T1D advances.


👩‍🔬 About You:

Required Education:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD)
    Specialties: endocrinology, immunology, pharmacy, or medicine

Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in a field medical role (e.g., MSL) in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

  • Expertise in autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes (aT1D) or related therapeutic areas.

  • Proven ability to build strategic account plans with clinical and business acumen.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Experience in clinical trial coordination and scientific research.

  • Network development capabilities with measurable impact.

  • High adaptability and agility in dynamic environments.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and executive presence.

  • Digital fluency and comfort with CRM and virtual engagement tools.


✈️ Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% for stakeholder engagement, congresses, trainings, and internal meetings.
