About the Role

The T1D Immunology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) plays a key role in advancing medical innovation to support Sanofi’s autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes (aT1D) portfolio. Reporting to the T1D Immunology Field Medical Director, this role focuses on developing key account strategies, executing impactful medical activities, and engaging with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) to enhance patient outcomes in the region.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and gain approval for account-specific ecosystem medical plans focused on teplizumab and the broader aT1D portfolio.

  • Regularly update plans with scientific and business insights.

  • Collaborate with the Field Medical Director to ensure alignment with Medical Affairs strategic imperatives, including pre- and peri-launch needs.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate medical insights into commercial strategies and patient support programs.

Field Engagement & Scientific Exchange

  • Maintain ongoing engagement with key medical accounts to deliver clinical value through innovative field medical practices.

  • Identify and develop KOLs and HCPs, including primary care providers, to support early T1D screening and monitoring.

  • Support educational initiatives and community outreach programs in collaboration with Public Health, Corporate Affairs, and Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs).

Collaboration & Medical Leadership

  • Contribute medical expertise to matrix team discussions, bringing value through solution-finding and insight-sharing.

  • Execute medical-led screening events and local congress activities per global standards.

  • Support identification of clinical trial and registry sites and provide ongoing site support.

  • Communicate the benefits, risks, and clinical value of Sanofi products in a scientifically balanced and compliant manner.

Insight Generation & Data Utilization

  • Gather and interpret real-world data (RWD) and medical needs to inform strategic decision-making and account planning.

  • Lead scientific discussions and facilitate peer-to-peer HCP engagement.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of insights and field activities in the CRM system.

Scientific Excellence & Compliance

  • Stay current on emerging scientific and regulatory trends in T1D immunology.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and scientific excellence.

  • Uphold Sanofi’s high standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance in all engagements.


Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant field such as endocrinology, immunology, pharmacy, or medicine (required)

Experience

  • Prior experience in a medical field role (MSL or equivalent) in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry (required)

  • Experience working in aT1D or specialized therapeutic areas (preferred)

  • Strong background in developing and executing ecosystem medical plans

  • Experience supporting clinical trials and medical research initiatives

  • Ability to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory
