Position Overview

The T1D Immunology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) plays a pivotal role in driving scientific and medical innovation to support Sanofi’s autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes (aT1D) portfolio.
This position focuses on developing impactful medical account strategies, building key opinion leader (KOL) relationships, and executing field medical activities to enhance patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

1. Medical Strategy & Account Planning

  • Build and execute account-specific medical plans for teplizumab and the aT1D portfolio.

  • Continuously refine medical account strategies with a business + scientific mindset.

  • Partner with the Regional Medical Director to ensure robust pre-launch and peri-launch preparation.

  • Integrate medical insights into commercial and patient support programs.

2. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key medical experts, HCPs, and public health entities.

  • Expand engagement to primary care providers for early T1D screening and monitoring adoption.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Corporate Affairs, and Public Health teams.

  • Support educational initiatives, medical congresses, and scientific events.

3. Clinical & Research Support

  • Identify and support clinical trial and registry sites.

  • Leverage real-world data (RWD) to gain insights into patient needs and improve outcomes.

  • Facilitate investigator-initiated studies and support research collaborations.

  • Ensure timely documentation of insights and activities in CRM systems.

4. Scientific Communication

  • Deliver accurate, balanced, and evidence-based scientific information to healthcare providers.

  • Promote awareness of new scientific advancements in T1D immunology.

  • Foster peer-to-peer scientific discussions to improve screening and patient care standards.

5. Compliance & Professionalism

  • Uphold all regulatory, legal, and ethical standards in scientific communications.

  • Ensure compliance with field medical governance processes.

  • Cultivate a culture of scientific excellence and continuous professional development.


Qualifications

Education

  • Advanced Degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, NP with MSN/DNP, or PA with Master’s Degree)

  • Specialization in Endocrinology, Immunology, Pharmacy, or Medicine preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in Medical Affairs or MSL role

  • Proven expertise in autoimmune or T1D therapeutic area

  • Prior experience in clinical trials, research coordination, or scientific projects

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience

Skills

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong scientific acumen and ability to interpret clinical data

  • Digital proficiency and adaptability to new technologies

  • Demonstrated agility, leadership, and stakeholder engagement capability

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% for stakeholder and scientific meetings
