Job Overview

Syneos Health is seeking a Senior Analyst – HEOR to support global health economics and outcomes research initiatives. This role is ideal for an analytical professional with hands-on experience in economic modelling and evidence synthesis who is eager to contribute to value demonstration and market access strategies for innovative healthcare technologies.

The Senior Analyst will work closely with senior HEOR leaders, epidemiologists, and market access experts to deliver robust economic evaluations, including cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses, supporting decision-making across global markets.


Key Responsibilities

Health Economic Modelling & Analysis

  • Support global HEOR projects through economic modelling activities, including cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and related analyses

  • Prepare model inputs, run analyses, and support model development and adaptation under the guidance of senior HEOR modelers

  • Assist in building, updating, and maintaining health economic and decision-analytic models

  • Document model assumptions, methodologies, and results in line with quality and governance standards

Evidence Generation & Synthesis

  • Conduct systematic literature searches across economic, clinical, and epidemiological sources

  • Extract, analyze, and summarize data from published literature

  • Contribute to evidence synthesis activities, including summary tables and technical report sections

  • Support value-for-money assessments incorporating clinical, economic, societal, and patient-centric perspectives

Reporting & Stakeholder Support

  • Maintain structured datasets and documentation related to economic analyses

  • Assist in developing technical reports, slide decks, and client-ready presentations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams, including epidemiology, market access, project management, and strategy

  • Proactively identify and communicate risks related to timelines, data quality, or deliverables

  • Support internal and external stakeholder communications as required


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree or higher in Economics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Pharmacy, Public Health, or a related discipline

  • 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in HEOR, with a strong focus on economic modelling

  • Experience preferably gained within a consulting environment or the pharmaceutical / life sciences industry

  • Solid understanding of health economic principles, decision-analytic modelling, health technology assessment (HTA), and epidemiology

  • Demonstrated ability to clean, analyze, interpret, and present quantitative data


Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and structured spreadsheets

  • Mandatory experience with VBA programming for modelling or automation

  • Working knowledge of R and/or Python for data analysis or modelling (preferred)

  • High attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in health economic modelling, including de novo model development and model adaptations
