🧬 About the Role

As the T1D Immunology Senior Medical Science Liaison, you will serve as the scientific and medical expert for Sanofi’s autoimmune Type 1 Diabetes (aT1D) portfolio, including teplizumab.
You’ll engage with key stakeholders, drive scientific exchange, and execute medical strategies to advance screening, awareness, and treatment in early-stage T1D.

This position reports to the T1D Immunology Regional Field Medical Director and is part of a nationwide field-based team focused on medical excellence and impactful collaboration.


🎯 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Strategic and Scientific Engagement

  • Develop and execute account-specific ecosystem medical plans aligned with teplizumab and aT1D portfolio objectives.

  • Continuously update medical account plans with a combined business and scientific approach.

  • Co-create plans with the Regional Field Medical Director reflecting Medical Affairs strategic imperatives and launch readiness.

  • Engage KOLs, HCPs, and healthcare networks to drive adoption of early screening, staging, and monitoring practices in T1D.

  • Provide scientific and educational support during congresses, advisory boards, and community health events.

🔹 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Commercial, Regulatory, and Public Health teams to align medical insights with patient access and support initiatives.

  • Integrate real-world (RW) data insights into strategic planning to enhance disease awareness and treatment outcomes.

  • Support educational initiatives in collaboration with Corporate Affairs and Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs).

  • Identify and support clinical trial and registry sites, ensuring scientific excellence and study readiness.

🔹 Medical Insight and Compliance

  • Maintain an updated understanding of scientific advances in T1D and immunology.

  • Provide timely documentation of field insights, scientific activities, and key account outcomes in CRM systems.

  • Ensure ethical, compliant, and balanced communication regarding Sanofi products and investigational therapies.

  • Promote a culture of scientific integrity, transparency, and continuous learning within the field team.


🎓 Qualifications

Required

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (PharmD, MD, PhD, or MS in Endocrinology, Immunology, Pharmacy, or Medicine).

  • 2+ years of Medical Affairs or MSL experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

  • Demonstrated experience in autoimmune or T1D therapeutic areas.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing ecosystem medical plans.

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, research initiatives, and scientific exchange.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Digital literacy with a strategic mindset and adaptability to new tools and technologies.

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% for stakeholder engagement, congresses, and internal meetings.

Preferred

  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional matrix teams.

  • Strong networking abilities and success in KOL engagement.

  • History of high performance in previous MSL roles.

  • Demonstrated agility, leadership, and resilience in a dynamic medical environment.
