Role Summary

The Plant Operator is responsible for manufacturing, evaluating products, and performing operations according to established protocols. This role supports shift-wise operations, ensures quality compliance, and contributes to process improvement and safe operations in the manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing processes safely to meet quality and production expectations.

  • Support shift-wise operations (6-day work week) and ensure compliance with protocols.

  • Ensure adequate training for all assigned tasks.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas during and after operations.

  • Complete required work volumes to meet departmental goals and deadlines.

  • Implement kaizens and maintain 6S standards in manufacturing areas.

  • Report deviations and support AM/PM activities.

  • Maintain equipment, prepare reagents, restock lab supplies, and handle waste disposal.

  • Communicate operational status and report deviations to supervisors.

  • Complete required logbooks accurately as per procedures.

  • Perform procedures independently and troubleshoot routine issues.

  • Identify and participate in process improvement opportunities under supervision.

  • Resolve unsafe conditions proactively.

  • Document work, evaluate process changes, and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Perform and interpret analytical evaluations of products and intermediates.

  • Handle solvent distillation and transfer safely.


Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of industrial experience, preferably in gas production and cylinder filling.

  • Experience in SCADA operations and shift activities.

  • Knowledge of handling hazardous gases.

  • Laboratory and analytical skills, including familiarity with lab instruments and production equipment.

  • Knowledge of ISO quality standards.

  • Safe chemical handling methods.

  • Strong computer, mechanical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
