Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Plant Operator to join our manufacturing team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in industrial operations, SCADA systems, and gas production or cylinder filling processes. This role supports shift-wise operations in compliance with established safety and quality protocols while driving process improvements and maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manufacturing processes safely to meet production and quality targets.

  • Support shift-wise operations on a 6-day working schedule.

  • Perform routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and lab support activities.

  • Accurately execute procedures, including solvent transfer and distillation, and perform analytical evaluations of products and intermediates.

  • Identify deviations during operations, report to supervisors, and assist with corrective actions.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and implement Kaizens to maintain 6S standards in manufacturing areas.

  • Maintain proper documentation, logbooks, and records as per current procedures.

  • Support laboratory functions, including reagent preparation, inventory management, and waste disposal.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely achievement of departmental goals.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of industrial experience, preferably in gas production or cylinder filling operations.

  • Experience in SCADA system operations and shift management.

  • Proficiency in handling hazardous gases and chemical processes safely.

  • Laboratory and analytical skills, including familiarity with production equipment and ISO quality standards.

  • Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and computer skills.

  • Effective oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements and operational best practices.

  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling methods and regulatory compliance standards.
