Role Overview

As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for manufacturing or evaluating products per established protocols, providing technical support, and performing operational tasks to support the group and department. This role supports shift-wise operations on a 6-day working schedule.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely perform manufacturing operations to meet quality standards throughout the process.

  • Ensure proper training before performing tasks/assignments.

  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas during and after operations.

  • Complete required work volume to meet group and departmental goals within deadlines.

  • Implement kaizen initiatives and maintain 6S standards in the manufacturing area.

  • Report and document deviations observed during activities; support AM/PM shift activities.

  • Support laboratory functions such as equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, restocking, and waste disposal.

  • Communicate operational status and deviations to supervisors.

  • Complete all required logbooks and documentation accurately.

  • Perform routine troubleshooting and independently execute procedures.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in improvement projects.

  • Take necessary actions to resolve unsafe conditions.

  • Develop and document improvement ideas and assess impact of changes.

  • Perform and interpret analytical evaluations of products and intermediates.

  • Handle solvent distillation and solvent transfer safely.


Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of independent industrial experience, preferably in gas production and cylinder filling industries.

  • Experience with SCADA operations.

  • Experience managing shift-based activities.

  • Strong knowledge of handling hazardous gases.

  • Laboratory and analytical skills.

  • Familiarity with ISO Quality standards.

  • Proficient with laboratory instruments and production equipment.

  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling methods.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Competent in computer usage, mechanical skills, and troubleshooting.

  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
