Job Title: Plant Operator

Job Summary

MilliporeSigma is seeking a skilled Plant Operator for its manufacturing facility in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate will have 4–5 years of experience in chemical operations, including gas handling, catalyst handling, hydrogenation, and distillation processes. This full-time, on-site position offers the chance to work in a world-class pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate plant equipment to meet process and quality expectations.

  • Perform routine equipment cleaning and area maintenance.

  • Execute production tasks to meet departmental goals and deadlines.

  • Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support ISO, EHS, internal and external audits, and regulatory inspections.

  • Maintain 6S standards within the manufacturing area.

  • Report and document deviations observed during operations.

  • Assist in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper logbook documentation.

  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) as needed.

  • Lead Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for incidents.

  • Safely handle solvent distillation and solvent transfers.

  • Perform analytical evaluations of products and intermediates under supervision.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering.

  • 4–5 years of hands-on experience in chemical plant operations.

  • Proficiency in:

    • Gas handling

    • Catalyst handling

    • Hydrogenation

    • Distillation processes

  • Strong understanding of safety, EHS protocols, and GMP compliance.

  • Ability to maintain accurate process documentation and logbooks.

  • Experience in process troubleshooting and improvement initiatives.

  • Familiarity with ISO and regulatory standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
