Job Summary:
IQVIA, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare solutions, is hiring a Medical Information Specialist (Spanish & English) for its Patient Safety team in Oeiras. This role is vital in supporting safety call center operations, interacting directly with healthcare professionals and patients to document medical inquiries, adverse events, and product quality complaints across key therapeutic areas such as Respiratory, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, HIV, and Oncology. Ideal candidates will possess a Life Science degree and proficiency in both Spanish and English.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide frontline phone support to healthcare professionals and patients.
Manage and track medical inquiries, adverse events, product complaints, and safety data via calls, emails, and faxes.
Maintain clear documentation of all safety-related communications.
Ensure accurate data capture following regulatory and internal guidelines.
Report project progress, out-of-scope challenges, and successes to management.
Support team collaboration and positive working environment within the global Safety Operations team.
Participate in safety process improvements and cross-functional training initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences (mandatory).
Fluency in Spanish and English (minimum C1 level each).
High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
Openness to learning new skills across lifecycle safety service lines.
