Job Summary:
IQVIA, a global leader in life sciences and healthcare solutions, is hiring a Medical Information Specialist (Italian, English & additional language) for its Safety Operations team in Oeiras. This role supports medical information services and patient safety initiatives by handling medical inquiries, adverse events, and product complaints across various therapeutic areas such as Respiratory, Infectious Diseases, Immunology, HIV, and Oncology. Fluency in Italian, English, and an additional language (German or French) is required along with a degree in Life Sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide medical information support via phone, email, and fax to healthcare professionals and patients.
Document and track safety data such as adverse events, medical inquiries, and product complaints.
Maintain effective communication with the team and management regarding project updates and challenges.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional training within the Lifecycle Safety team.
Support team collaboration by mentoring junior staff and contributing to a positive work environment.
Ensure all data entry, coding, narrative writing, and quality control tasks meet company and regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences (mandatory).
Fluency in English (min. C1) and Italian (C2/native) plus proficiency in an additional language such as German or French (min. C1).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with consistently high-quality work.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Willingness to learn new processes and skills across the Lifecycle Safety service lines.
