Job Summary:

Promea Therapeutics Pvt Ltd is looking for a dedicated Executive in Environment Health & Safety (EHS) to join our team. The EHS Executive will play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees by identifying and eliminating potential hazards in the workplace. They will assist in compliance with safety laws and regulations, conduct regular inspections, and implement safety initiatives to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety & Hazard Management:

    • Prevent and eliminate injury and sickness among employees by identifying and addressing workplace hazards such as unsafe working methods, high noise levels, toxic chemicals, contaminated drinking water, etc.
    • Conduct periodic workplace and machinery inspections to minimize potential hazards.
  • Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure compliance with statutory safety provisions and maintain required documentation, including SOPs, machinery safety records, and environmental health-related documents for government regulators.
    • Maintain a good relationship with government regulatory authorities and stay updated on relevant safety laws.
  • Risk Assessment & Safety Training:

    • Conduct risk assessments for biological, chemical, and radiological materials, including collecting and analyzing samples.
    • Participate in environmental monitoring programs and safety inspections.
    • Provide in-house training programs to educate employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Accident Investigation & Reporting:

    • Investigate past accidents, determine their causes, and propose preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
    • Carry out accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Safety Campaigns & Mock Drills:

    • Raise awareness about safety through internal safety campaigns, safety meetings, and organizing mock drills.
    • Ensure the procurement, maintenance, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for employees.
  • Audits & Compliance Inspections:

    • Conduct internal EHS audits and collaborate with external auditors as required.
    • Carry out daily site inspections and organize safety meetings.
  • Safety Plans & Coordination:

    • Develop and implement safety plans for projects as per contract requirements.
    • Ensure timely procurement of PPE and identify areas for cost reduction without compromising safety.
  • First Aid & Emergency Response:

    • Organize first aid training and emergency response drills for staff.
    • Oversee surface drill operations and exploration camp facilities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environment Health & Safety (EHS), Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in the field of Environment Health & Safety.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of EHS regulations and safety compliance.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and coordination.
    • Ability to conduct audits, inspections, and accident investigations.
    • Proactive in raising safety awareness and implementing safety practices.
    • Knowledge of risk assessment and accident prevention strategies.
