Job Summary

IQVIA is hiring a field-based Cardiometabolic Medical Science and Outcomes Liaison (MSOL) in New York to lead scientific engagement with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and payor organizations. You will provide high-level medical expertise in cardiovascular and metabolic disorders (diabetes, heart failure), support formulary discussions, and contribute to real-world healthcare outcomes.

This role blends scientific acumen with payer engagement, offering the opportunity to influence decision-makers across IDNs, ACOs, and P&T committees in the evolving U.S. healthcare system.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with national and regional KOLs and payor stakeholders in CV/metabolics

  • Conduct scientific exchanges and disseminate emerging clinical data

  • Present health outcomes and real-world evidence to P&T and C-suite stakeholders

  • Lead engagements across payor accounts, IDNs, and ACOs

  • Support advisory boards, medical information booths, and scientific activities

  • Capture actionable field insights into CRM in a timely manner

  • Pair internal resources with external educational and research needs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional commercial and non-commercial teams


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced clinical degree: MD, PhD, PharmD, or DNP

  • Minimum 5 years of field medical experience

  • At least 2 years of cardiovascular, endocrinology, or diabetes experience

  • Strong communication, presentation, and scientific interpretation skills

  • Familiarity with health economics, outcomes research (HEOR), and payor needs

  • Knowledge of PhRMA, OIG and regulatory frameworks for compliant communication

  • Proven ability to independently manage a regional territory

  • Willingness to travel 40–60% across assigned territory
