Position Summary

The Women’s Health Business Specialist is responsible for achieving territory sales goals by promoting Astellas products and services to physicians and healthcare professionals within the assigned region.

This role involves:

  • Educating customers on Astellas’ products

  • Driving sales performance through ethical, compliant, and customer-focused engagement

  • Representing Astellas professionally to ensure high visibility, satisfaction, and brand growth

Grade level is flexible based on candidate background and skillset.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales and Territory Management

  • Promote and educate targeted HCPs on Astellas’ products through one-on-one meetings, presentations, and speaker programs.

  • Work five days in the field weekly, with office time for planning, follow-up, and reporting.

  • Execute territory business plans to meet or exceed sales goals and call plan expectations.

  • Support customers using approved promotional materials and resources.

  • Accurately record sales activities, expenses, and reports per company policy and timelines.

  • Manage and maintain company equipment, product samples, and literature in line with compliance standards.


2. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate promotional efforts with peers, regional teams, and co-promotion partners.

  • Participate in company-sponsored sales and medical meetings.

  • Contribute to regional business plans and share field insights with management.


3. Continuous Learning & Professional Growth

  • Stay current on disease area knowledge, sales techniques, and product updates.

  • Actively pursue professional sales development to enhance communication and influence.

  • Demonstrate leadership by mentoring peers and sharing best practices.


Quantitative Dimensions

  • Accountable for achieving territory sales and activity goals based on defined performance metrics.


Organizational Context

  • Reports to: Regional Sales Manager

  • Role Type: Customer-facing sales position

  • Responsibilities include:

    • Managing assigned territory and Astellas’ product portfolio

    • Partnering with teammates and cross-functional colleagues

    • Maintaining strong sales performance while contributing to regional goals


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)

  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience

  • Strong understanding of sales processes and pharmaceutical industry trends

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

  • Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership, motivation, and teamwork

  • Consistent high sales performance record

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including occasional overnight trips

  • Valid driver’s license in good standing


Preferred:

  • Advanced degree or continued education

  • Experience in specialty product promotion


Compensation

💰 Salary Range: $80,000 – $125,000
(Final salary commensurate with experience)
