Primary Care and Specialty Sales Consultant – Cardiorenal

Location: Macon, Warner Robins & surrounding areas, Georgia, USA (Residence-based)

Purpose

The Sales Consultant (SC) is responsible for implementing sales strategies for approved Cardiorenal products and driving launch activities for an anticipated menopause product. The role focuses on developing strategic business plans for Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), primarily in community settings, to drive demand, clinical education, and sales.

The SC reports to the CVR Area General Manager (AGM) and is part of the Area Customer Squad, collaborating with Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, and other internal partners to achieve US Pharma outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development

Build and develop professional relationships with Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), pharmacy staff, and other assigned customers

Drive appropriate utilization of approved Cardiorenal and menopause products

Generate pull-through within local payers and community healthcare providers

Provide strategic and tactical input to commercial colleagues for territory, area, and regional planning

Develop and implement customer-specific business plans and communicate insights internally

Prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of high-potential physician specialists

Market & Product Expertise

Leverage knowledge of diabetes, menopause, and cardiovascular marketplaces

Anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges

Understand assigned customers’ product and business needs and work to meet them

Customer Engagement & Education

Handle customer objections effectively and exceed expectations

Occasionally share expertise in a training capacity with regional peers

Embrace emerging technologies to enhance sales performance

Compliance & Ethics

Understand and comply with pharmaceutical industry guidelines, regulations, and high ethical standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Proven track record of consistent high performance in sales or related roles

Demonstrated ability to develop long-standing relationships with customers

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Leadership qualities promoting ethical behavior and compliance

Ability to meet customer credentialing and safety requirements (e.g., vaccinations, trainings)

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (preferred)

5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience

In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular, diabetes, and/or menopause disease states

Product launch experience

Strong analytical, computer, and virtual sales skills

Strong local relationships with HCPs and understanding of the local market

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated salary: $113,841 - $170,762

Additional compensation: potential bonus or commission
