🎯 Role Purpose

The Sr. Director – Scientific Content will:

  • Lead strategic development and execution of scientific content and congress narratives

  • Ensure alignment with cross-functional priorities, external engagement objectives, and scientific strategy

  • Drive effective communication and storytelling for cardiometabolic health molecules from Phase 2 onwards

  • Optimize internal workflows and cross-functional collaboration


🧠 Primary Responsibilities

1. Communication & Storytelling

  • Lead scientific point-of-view (POV) content creation for molecules

  • Drive holistic scientific disclosure at key congresses (ACC, ADA, EASD, ESC, Obesity Week, ECO, AHA)

  • Collaborate with CMH Strategy and Operations teams for integrated engagement and narrative delivery

  • Leverage emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions, to enhance engagement with healthcare professionals

  • Evaluate and redesign internal workflows to improve efficiency, consistency, and collaboration

  • Define success metrics and use data to improve content strategy and execution

2. Leadership, Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Demonstrate growth mindset and embody CMH GMA culture commitments

  • Coach and mentor team members across and outside the department

  • Build critical cross-functional business partner relationships

  • Communicate complex information clearly and conceptualize new storytelling formats

  • Lead cross-functional change initiatives, improving processes and outcomes

  • Inspire teams, translate complex ideas into clear direction, and foster continuous learning and innovation


🎓 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year)

  • 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Development, Marketing, or Communications

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis


🛠 Additional Preferences

  • Experience with medical communications agencies

  • In-depth knowledge of diabetes, obesity, and cardiometabolic disease states

  • Supervisory or team lead experience

  • Experience in change management and working with executive leadership

  • Ability to lead and manage diverse cross-functional teams and complex deliverables


🌍 Other Information

  • Travel: ~10–20% domestic and international

  • Flexible schedule required (including evenings, weekends, occasional holidays)

  • On-site position in Indianapolis, Indiana; full-time remote not available


💰 Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $150,000 – $237,600

  • Eligible for company bonus
