Job Summary
IQVIA is hiring a Senior Clinical Database Designer to lead study design, database configuration, and eCRF development for global clinical trials. This role involves collaborating with Data Management, Programming, Validation, and Client teams to deliver robust EDC solutions using SDTM/CDASH standards. Key Responsibilities
Interpret study protocols and translate them into optimal database designs
Develop and update eCRFs using EDC tools (InForm or other CDMS platforms)
Prepare edit specifications, system configuration, and authorization documents
Collaborate with stakeholders including DTLs, Programmers, and Statisticians
Lead or participate in internal design and screen review meetings
Ensure quality and compliance with SOPs and project-specific guidelines
Manage timelines, identify risks, and escalate quality issues
Handle multiple study build projects simultaneously across various platforms
Contribute to process improvements and share technical insights
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
Minimum 7 years of total experience, with 2–4 years as a core clinical database designer
Expertise in EDC systems and standards like SDTM, CDASH
Strong understanding of eCRF design, edit checks, and clinical database structure
Experience with InForm or equivalent tools for study builds
Excellent communication, stakeholder collaboration, and risk escalation skills
