Position Overview:
The Global HEOR Value Writing Leader is a pivotal role that oversees the strategy, development, and delivery of high-quality value communication materials across therapeutic areas. This individual leads a team of HEOR value writers responsible for creating payer- and HTA-relevant content such as Global Value Dossiers (GVDs), AMCP dossiers, early HTA briefing books, and publications. The position reports to the Head of HTA Strategy & Project Management and collaborates closely with HEOR Product Leads.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of Global HEOR Value Writers.
Oversee the creation, review, and QC of value deliverables including GVDs, AMCP dossiers, early HTA materials, and peer-reviewed publications.
Align deliverables with global product strategy and timelines, ensuring compliance with Amgen and regulatory standards.
Serve as the subject matter expert for HTA/payer communication tools.
Continuously improve internal processes and documentation quality.
Partner with cross-functional leaders to drive market access impact through strong value narratives.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of writing staff.
Basic Qualifications (one of the following):
Doctorate in Health Economics, Public Health, Pharmacy, Biostatistics, Life Sciences, or related field + 2 years of experience
Master’s degree + 8–10 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree + 10–14 years of experience
Diploma + 14–18 years of experience
Experience must be in HEOR, medical or regulatory writing in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting setting.
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 3 years in a team management capacity
Proven experience developing Global Value Dossiers (GVDs), AMCP dossiers, and other HTA documents
Strong writing and editorial capabilities tailored to various stakeholder audiences
Understanding of payer evidence requirements, real-world data, and health technology assessment (HTA) processes
Familiarity with Good Publication Practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reference management tools like EndNote
Innovative mindset, including AI-based content generation or automation
