Parexel is seeking a Scientific Specialist – Medical Information to join its global Medical Communications team. This remote role, based in India, is ideal for an experienced medical writer with a strong scientific background and hands-on expertise in developing high-quality medical information content.
In this role, you will support accurate, compliant, and timely scientific communication by responding to medical inquiries, developing scientific response documents, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring evidence-based medical information is delivered to healthcare professionals, patients, and internal teams in line with global quality and compliance standards.
Conduct comprehensive literature searches using PubMed and other subscribed scientific databases and validate relevant scientific evidence.
Develop, update, and maintain global Standard Scientific Response Content (gSSRCs) and FAQs in accordance with approved templates and style guides.
Respond to escalated medical information queries from internal stakeholders and external audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers.
Collaborate and liaise with internal cross-functional teams and relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and accuracy of scientific content.
Follow best practices related to medical information processes, communication, project management, and documentation.
Participate in assigned training programs and complete project-related tasks as required.
Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, timelines, confidentiality, data security, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Advanced scientific degree such as PharmD, MD, PhD, or Master’s in Life Sciences or a related discipline.
3–5 years of experience as a Medical Writer or Scientific Writer, with a minimum of 3 years producing medical or scientific content.
Strong understanding of medical information development, literature evaluation, and evidence-based content creation.
Excellent medical writing, editing, and reviewing skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver results within tight timelines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in remote and cross-functional teams.
Experience working with digital tools, IT systems, and medical information platforms.
Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively to collaborative team environments.
Experience in developing and managing scientific publications such as manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
Prior exposure to one or more therapeutic areas including Cardiovascular Renal Metabolism (CRM), Respiratory, Inflammation, Immunology, or Oncology.
