Role Summary:

The Phaco Sales Specialist is responsible for the promotion, demonstration, and sales of Phaco equipment, primarily entry-level and medium-range machines, within the assigned territory. The role also includes application support, customer training, and coordination with service teams to ensure optimal machine usage, customer satisfaction, and market growth.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Promotion:

  • Achieve or exceed annual and quarterly sales targets.

  • Conduct effective product presentations and demonstrations to surgeons.

  • Perform successful application support sessions to ensure surgeon adoption of technologies.

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers (Doctors/KOLs/Distributors/Peers/Superiors).

  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to inform sales strategy.

Customer Support & Training:

  • Provide post-installation application support to customers as needed.

  • Train customers and their staff on optimal usage of Phaco machines and proper maintenance.

  • Collaborate closely with the service team to resolve technical issues promptly.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with IOL Team members for lead generation and maintaining a healthy sales funnel.

  • Ensure effective communication with marketing and service teams to support customer engagement.

Territory & Market Management:

  • Manage time and territory efficiently to maximize customer engagement.

  • Utilize promotional materials and engagement activities to drive sales and increase installation base.

  • Support environmental policies and departmental objectives.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven sales experience in MedTech or clinical equipment preferred.

  • Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to deliver effective presentations and product demonstrations.

  • Knowledge of ophthalmic equipment, surgical procedures, or related clinical applications is advantageous.

  • Good coordination and teamwork skills with service and marketing teams.

  • Market awareness and competitor analysis capabilities.
