Job Overview

The Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist provides in-home diagnostic services to support patient care. This role involves traveling to patient residences to perform clinical services, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and macular edema screenings, in support of treatment initiation and adherence strategies.

Key Features:

  • Per diem, mobile-based role with flexible scheduling

  • No minimum monthly visit requirement

  • Paid hourly for appointment and travel time (minimum 2 hours)

  • IRS-standard mileage reimbursement


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

  • Perform in-home blood specimen collection, labeling, and transportation per regulatory and network standards.

  • Conduct trained screenings including electrocardiograms (EKGs) and macular edema exams.

  • Monitor and maintain clinical supply inventory.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including transportation and storage of supplies.

  • Identify and report adverse events, medical product complaints, or patient inquiries as per guidance.

Administrative Duties

  • Collaborate with IQVIA clinical coordination team to complete and submit visit-related paperwork promptly and accurately.

  • Maintain accurate mileage and time logs for reimbursement and compliance.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years phlebotomy experience in clinical or field settings.

  • At least 1 year of EKG experience preferred.

  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred.

    • Washington and Louisiana: state-issued CMA or CPT required.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (equipment transport).

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 100 miles for patient visits.

  • Proficiency in using medical equipment and proper documentation practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; patient-focused approach.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

  • Must complete drug screening and background check post-offer.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay: $25.00 per hour

  • Pay may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, and schedule.

  • Potential for incentive plans, bonuses, and other benefits depending on position.
