About the Opportunity

IQVIA is seeking a reliable and skilled Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join its expanding In-Home Clinical Solutions team. This per diem, travel-based position offers flexibility while allowing you to deliver essential in-home diagnostic and clinical support services to patients within your designated geographic area.

This role is ideal for professionals who excel in patient care, enjoy field-based work, and possess strong clinical competencies in phlebotomy and related diagnostic procedures.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-home blood specimen collection, labeling, and transportation in compliance with laboratory and regulatory standards.

  • Conduct patient screenings as trained, including electrocardiograms (EKGs) and macular edema screening exams.

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, specimen handling procedures, and quality assurance standards.

  • Ensure a clean, organized, and secure environment for medical equipment and supplies during transport and storage.

  • Manage and monitor clinical supply inventory as required for home-based visits.

  • Collaborate with IQVIA’s clinical coordination team to complete visit documentation accurately and on time.

  • Identify and report adverse events, product complaints, or patient concerns according to company guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate mileage and time records for reimbursement and compliance purposes.


Position Highlights

  • Flexible per diem schedule with no minimum visit requirement.

  • Paid hourly for both appointment time and travel time (2-hour minimum paid per visit).

  • Mileage reimbursement based on IRS standard rates.

  • Local referrals assigned according to geographic availability and program needs.

  • All patient scheduling and communication managed by IQVIA.


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience in clinical or field-based settings (required).

  • At least 1 year of EKG experience (preferred).

  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred.

  • For candidates in Washington or Louisiana, a state-issued CMA or CPT license is required.

  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds of medical or diagnostic equipment.

  • Willingness to travel up to 100 miles for patient visits.

  • Proficiency in clinical documentation and operation of medical equipment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.

  • Fluent in written and verbal English.

  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

  • Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening post-offer.
