Position Overview

IQVIA is hiring a qualified Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to support its In-Home Clinical Solutions program across the Washington, DC region. This per diem, field-based position is ideal for experienced healthcare professionals who are confident working independently, traveling locally, and delivering high-quality diagnostic services within a patient’s home environment.

With flexible scheduling and no minimum monthly visit requirement, this role allows you to focus solely on patient care while IQVIA manages all appointment coordination and communication.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home blood specimen collection, labeling, and compliant specimen transport according to regulatory and network standards.

  • Perform additional diagnostic assessments, including electrocardiograms (EKGs) and macular edema screenings (training provided).

  • Maintain an organized, clean, and compliant mobile workspace, including proper storage and transportation of supplies.

  • Monitor and manage clinical inventory to ensure readiness for all scheduled visits.

  • Complete and submit accurate visit-related documentation in collaboration with IQVIA’s clinical coordination team.

  • Identify and report adverse events, product concerns, or patient questions following IQVIA and manufacturer guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate logs for mileage, working hours, and visit compliance.


Compensation and Scheduling

  • Flexible, per diem schedule with no minimum monthly visit commitment.

  • Hourly compensation covering both clinical appointment time and travel time (minimum of 2 paid hours per visit).

  • Mileage reimbursement following IRS-standard rates.


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience in clinical or field settings.

  • At least 1 year of EKG experience preferred.

  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred.

  • A state-issued CMA or CPT license is required for candidates residing in Washington or Louisiana.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for transporting diagnostic or medical equipment.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100 miles to complete patient visits.

  • Strong proficiency with medical equipment and accurate clinical documentation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered focus.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (pre-hire review).

  • Successful completion of required background check and drug screening upon offer acceptance.
