Role Overview

IQVIA’s In-Home Clinical Solutions team is seeking an experienced and dedicated Mobile Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to deliver in-home diagnostic and clinical support services across Washington, DC. This position is ideal for professionals who excel in patient interactions, value flexible scheduling, and prefer working independently in a mobile healthcare environment.

In this per diem role, you will travel to patient residences to perform essential clinical services such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and additional diagnostic screenings that support treatment adherence and care continuity. IQVIA manages all patient scheduling and communication, enabling you to focus solely on delivering high-quality clinical care.


Position Highlights

  • Per diem, field-based position with flexible scheduling

  • No minimum visit requirement per month

  • Hourly compensation includes both visit time and travel time

    • Minimum paid hours per visit: 2 hours

  • Mileage reimbursement provided at IRS standard rates

  • Travel within designated geographic areas in and around Washington, DC


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform in-home blood specimen collection, labeling, and transport according to IQVIA policies and regulatory guidelines

  • Follow laboratory safety requirements and ensure timely delivery of samples to designated laboratories

  • Conduct trained diagnostic screenings including EKGs and macular edema assessments (training provided)

  • Maintain an organized clinical supply inventory and a clean mobile work setup

  • Coordinate with IQVIA’s clinical operations team to complete and submit all required documentation accurately and promptly

  • Identify and report adverse events, product complaints, or patient concerns in accordance with guidelines

  • Maintain accurate logs for mileage, travel time, and visit duration


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience in clinical or field settings (required)

  • Minimum 1 year of EKG experience preferred

  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred

    • State-issued CMA/CPT license required if residing in Washington or Louisiana

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for transporting diagnostic equipment

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100 miles

  • Proficiency with clinical equipment and documentation standards

  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Valid driver’s license; driving record will be reviewed prior to hire

  • Must pass drug screening and background check after receiving an offer


Experience Required

  • 2–4 years of relevant clinical experience, including phlebotomy

  • Experience with in-home healthcare, mobile diagnostics, or community-based clinical services preferred

  • Prior hands-on experience conducting EKGs is highly advantageous


Compensation

  • $25.00 per hour
    Actual pay may vary based on qualifications, professional experience, geographic region, and scheduling requirements. Additional incentives and benefits may apply depending on assignment.
