Job Purpose

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a bridge between the scientific community and Sanofi. You will lead scientific exchange and knowledge dissemination with healthcare professionals (HCPs), particularly in the area of Rare Blood Disorders (Hemophilia).

Your goal: foster credible, evidence-based relationships that advance understanding, improve patient outcomes, and align with Sanofi’s medical strategy.


Key Responsibilities

🔬 Scientific Engagement

  • Plan and execute field-based scientific activities in Rare Blood Disorders (focus: Hemophilia).

  • Disseminate recent clinical evidence and discuss treatment guidelines with HCPs.

  • Conduct scientific meetings, lectures, and advisory discussions with healthcare professionals.

  • Provide HCPs with updates on clinical studies relevant to their therapeutic area.

💬 Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Establish and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and stakeholders.

  • Support HCPs with diagnostic and patient management challenges in hemophilia.

  • Collaborate with the Diagnostic Coordinator to address diagnostic and supply chain issues.

  • Contribute to speaker training programs where appropriate.

📊 Insights & Strategy

  • Gather and report treatment trends and field insights to internal teams.

  • Align scientific field activities with company strategy and brand objectives.

  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings for strategic alignment.

  • Support evidence-generation activities (data acquisition, investigator-led studies).

⚖️ Compliance & Ethics

  • Uphold Sanofi’s ethical standards, codes of conduct, and industry regulations.

  • Ensure all MSL activities remain non-promotional and compliant with local laws and company policies.


Major Challenges

  • Operate independently while collaborating closely with the Medical Advisor – Rare Blood Disorder.

  • Mediate differing opinions between KOLs and corporate policies while maintaining positive relationships.

  • Balance multiple stakeholder expectations within regulatory frameworks.


Scope of Role

  • Develop and execute KOL engagement plans aligned with medical strategy.

  • Utilize scientific data to advance understanding of disease and therapy areas.

  • Coordinate territory-level strategy to address diverse stakeholder needs (HCPs, patients, payers).


Qualifications

Education:

  • Advanced degree in a scientific, technical, or medical field (MBBS/MD preferred).

Experience:

  • 2–4 years of experience as an MSL or Scientific Advisor in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Strong background in Hematology/Hemophilia or coagulopathies preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • In-depth scientific expertise and understanding of disease management protocols.

  • Strategic thinking, planning, and execution abilities.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.

  • Knowledge of local pharmaceutical regulations governing non-promotional activities.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
