Medical Information and Adverse Event Intake Specialist (German & English) – Oeiras, Portugal

Job Summary:
IQVIA is hiring a Medical Information and Adverse Event Intake Specialist fluent in German and English to join its global pharmacovigilance and safety operations team in Oeiras, Portugal. This position is perfect for pharmacists looking to contribute to patient safety through medical inquiry handling, adverse event triage, product quality complaint management, and drug safety documentation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide phone-based support to HCPs and consumers for adverse events, product quality complaints, and medical inquiries (non-commercial).

  • Process Lifecycle Safety operational data, including triage, coding, narrative writing, translations coordination, and database entry.

  • Perform case quality control and reconciliation activities to ensure case closure accuracy.

  • Participate in safety call center functions, ensuring compliance with SOPs and global regulatory requirements.

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to training and performance improvements within the team.

  • Liaise with Project Managers to identify and resolve operational issues.

  • Engage in cross-functional training initiatives and working groups to enhance operational efficiency.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (mandatory).

  • Fluency in German (C2/native) and English (minimum C1).

  • Proven attention to detail and strong commitment to high-quality standards.

  • Effective multitasking, workload management, and prioritization abilities.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn across multiple Lifecycle Safety service lines.
