🎯 Role Purpose

The HEOR Consultant / Senior Consultant in Bengaluru provides functional influence and coordination across therapy area teams. This role:

  • Supports health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) and real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives.

  • Collaborates with International HTA teams, Therapy Area teams, and Project Management for seamless project execution.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert for a brand or therapeutic area and drives team capability development.

The role contributes to accelerating equitable patient access and transforming healthcare delivery through high-impact science.


🧠 Key Responsibilities

1. Document Preparation & Management (40%)

  • Provide technical expertise and share scientific insights in planning, writing, editing, and reviewing HTA and reimbursement documents.

  • Conduct quality checks to ensure data accuracy.

  • Collate reviewer comments and revise content accordingly to prepare final deliverables.

  • Deliver outputs such as reimbursement dossiers or therapy area expertise.

  • Exhibit flexibility in handling multiple document types simultaneously.

  • Negotiate and influence timelines and content with team members.

2. Knowledge and Skills Development (30%)

  • Maintain and enhance therapeutic area knowledge, including disease states and compounds.

  • Keep up-to-date with HEOR methodologies, RWE studies, reimbursement dossiers, value message development, economic evaluations, and patient-reported outcome studies.

  • Lead scientific data disclosure planning, submission strategy, clinical planning, and literature updates.

  • Provide informal coaching and guidance to colleagues.

  • Share best practices globally and support cross-functional training and mentoring.

3. Operational and Organizational Leadership (25%)

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

  • Represent Bengaluru HEOR capability on cross-functional teams.

  • Provide leadership and coaching on technical expertise, strategy, and teamwork.

  • Ensure timely and reliable project execution.

  • Collaborate with teams to assess risks and implement solutions.

  • Engage in team-building, reward/recognition, and diversity initiatives.

4. Capabilities Development & Stakeholder Value (5%)

  • Promote awareness of the value of Bengaluru HEOR within IVA/GMA HEOR organization.

  • Identify and assess new capabilities and opportunities.

  • Represent the team in leadership meetings, showcasing team achievements and contributions.


🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Doctoral (PhD, DrPH, ScD, MD), Master’s, or PharmD degree.

  • 7+ years of health outcomes/health economics experience.

  • 3+ years experience managing project plans or portfolios.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate issues and take corrective action.

  • Ability to translate complex scientific information clearly and concisely.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility in diverse environments.

Additional Preferences

  • Strong understanding of US and global healthcare systems.

  • Proven ability to influence across organizations.

  • Experience working across cultures and time zones.
