🧭 Job Overview

The Clinical Project Manager (Project Lead) is responsible for clinical trial delivery, working closely with clinical teams to accelerate patient access to new therapies. The role focuses on project execution, operational excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. Project Managers may lead their own studies and are expected to leverage therapeutic expertise and IQVIA solutions to drive strategic and operational success.


⚙️ Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution:

    • Develop integrated study management plans with core project teams.

    • Execute clinical studies per contract, optimizing speed, quality, and cost.

    • Set objectives and assess performance of the core project team and sub-teams.

  • Client & Stakeholder Management:

    • Serve as primary or backup contact for customers and vendors.

    • Present project updates and progress to internal and external stakeholders.

    • Participate in bid defense presentations and may lead presentations for smaller regional studies.

  • Risk & Quality Management:

    • Monitor project risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.

    • Identify changes in scope and manage change control processes.

    • Ensure project quality and compliance with SOPs, ICH GCP, and local regulations.

  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Lead cross-functional project teams and ensure collaboration across functions.

    • Mentor less experienced team members and support staff development.

    • Provide input to line managers on team performance.

  • Financial Management:

    • Ensure project financial success and manage contractual obligations.

    • Forecast activities and identify opportunities to accelerate revenue.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify lessons learned and implement best practices.

    • Adopt corporate initiatives and act as a change advocate when necessary.


🎓 Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or related field (Required)

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years relevant experience, including >1 year project management experience.

    • Therapeutic knowledge and broad protocol understanding preferred.

  • Knowledge & Skills:

    • Clinical trial conduct, regulatory requirements (ICH GCP, local laws).

    • Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, ensure quality, and collaborate cross-functionally.

    • IT proficiency (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Understanding of project financials and contractual implications.

    • Familiarity with IQVIA core competencies: Client Focus, Collaboration, Communication, Innovation, Ownership.


💰 Compensation

  • Base Pay Range: $93,100 – $232,800 per year (actual pay varies based on qualifications, location, and schedule)

  • Additional incentive plans, bonuses, and benefits may apply.
