About the Team

Sanofi Business Operations (SBO) is a strategic internal resource organization based in India, established to centralize processes and activities that support Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, Consumer Healthcare (CHC), Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO), R&D, Data & Digital functions.
SBO partners with Medical, Health Economics & Value Assessment (HEVA), and Commercial organizations globally, driving operational excellence and enabling impactful business outcomes.


Role Purpose

The role is responsible for project management support to ensure the effective end-to-end delivery of designated publications and medical education deliverables. The position will involve stakeholder collaboration, compliance management, financial tracking, and operational excellence across publication planning and medical events.


Key Responsibilities

Project & Delivery

  • Manage project timelines, scope, and deliverables for publications and medical education projects.

  • Build and track project plans, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.

  • Arrange and coordinate internal and external stakeholder meetings.

  • Track progress, manage issues/risks, and support follow-up actions.

  • Support submission, approval, compliance, and launch activities using tools such as Veeva PromoMats, DAM, or similar systems.

  • Ensure deliverables (e.g., slide decks, abstracts, posters, manuscripts) are completed on time, stored appropriately, and meet quality standards.

Compliance & Financials

  • Ensure strict adherence to publication and MLR processes.

  • Track and reconcile publication-related costs (e.g., open access charges).

  • Support external spend management, including approvals, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation.

  • Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and internal risk controls.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise with global and local scientific communication and content enhancement teams.

  • Coordinate medical events and advisory boards as required.

  • Maintain and update the integrated scientific communication plan with quarterly reviews.

  • Build and sustain effective relationships with the medical/scientific community.

People & Performance

  • Mentor and support SBO operations associates.

  • Leverage new technologies to enhance team productivity.

  • Develop tools, processes, and solutions to improve efficiency and delivery quality.

  • Ensure continuous improvement and uphold high scientific standards across deliverables.


About You

Experience:

  • 5–8 years of post-qualification experience in scientific/medical writing, communications, or project management within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Experience in scientific/medical writing and publications.

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry processes and therapeutic area/domain expertise.

  • Hands-on experience with MLR processes and tools such as Veeva PromoMats (or similar).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Education:

  • Graduate degree in science (required).

  • Postgraduate/advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or related discipline (preferred).

Languages:

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
