🧭 Job Overview

The Associate Clinical Lead Director plays a critical role in clinical trial delivery, leading clinical teams to bring new therapies to market efficiently. The role ensures clinical delivery of large, multi-regional studies or programs, meeting contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements. The Associate Clinical Lead Director partners with Project Leaders and other functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with quality.


⚙️ Essential Functions

Clinical Delivery

  • Ensure clinical delivery of assigned projects in compliance with ICH-GCP, protocols, customer contracts, and internal SOPs.

  • Accountable for meeting recruitment targets and implementing effective recruitment strategies.

  • Contribute to project risk mitigation plans and manage clinical risks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Develop and implement clinical strategies to achieve project goals.

  • Ensure clinical quality by monitoring and managing quality standards and issues.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage clinical aspects of Project Finances, including Estimate at Completion (EAC).

  • Monitor changes against baseline EAC and identify additional service opportunities.

  • Plan and allocate resources, manage clinical team performance, and support professional development.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as primary Clinical Lead alongside other Clinical Leads for large global trials.

  • Identify and manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.

  • Support milestone achievement and communicate project updates to stakeholders.

  • Mentor new peers and provide guidance in clinical lead roles.

  • Participate in bid defense preparations and develop Clinical Operation Plans with Business Development.

  • Act as cross-functional liaison and champion corporate initiatives.

  • Attend site visits as applicable (up to 25% travel).


🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care or a scientific discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years clinical research/monitoring experience or equivalent combination of education and training.

  • In-depth knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ICH guidelines.

  • Consolidated knowledge of Project Management practices and terminology.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal in English.

  • Problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Strong planning, time management, and prioritization abilities.

  • Results-oriented with high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Leadership skills: influencing, negotiation, mentoring, and training.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Base Pay Range (Annualized): $102,500 – $285,500
