Job Description

Position

Territory Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Territory Manager to drive sales strategy, execute product management initiatives, and build strong customer relationships in your assigned territory. This role requires working closely with healthcare professionals, monitoring competitor activities, gathering market insights, and supporting brand growth through scientific engagement and medical education.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing Execution

  • Promote new pharmaceutical products and implement Product Management Team (PMT) strategies.

  • Analyse market trends, consult with doctors on product potential, and provide feedback to PMT.

  • Identify and engage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to strengthen brand presence.

  • Monitor product availability and ensure effective product launches.

Sales Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track primary and secondary sales through regular stockist/pharmacy visits.

  • Achieve doctor-wise and product-specific sales objectives.

  • Participate in monthly review meetings to assess coverage, SOP adherence, and expense control.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, stockists, and hospitals.

  • Classify customers by potential, schedule regular interactions, and track ROI per customer.

  • Address customer queries promptly using Infoginip system.

Medical Engagement & CME Activities

  • Meet KOLs and Key Business Leaders (KELs) regularly.

  • Organize Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions based on customer and hospital interest areas.

  • Align CME topics with therapy areas to boost brand image and engagement.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Prepare doctor-wise product matrix based on potential and prescribing patterns.

  • Update chemist, doctor, and Retail Chemist Prescription Audit (RCPA) data via Unnati portal.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting for business transparency.


Qualifications

Education

  • Graduate degree with a Science background.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in pharmaceutical sales.

Skills & Attributes

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical products and marketing.

  • Ability to implement and analyse sales/marketing strategies.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

Behavioural Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to build and leverage relationships.

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.

  • Confident decision-making skills.
