Job Description: Territory Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional for the role of Territory Manager. In this role, you will drive sales strategy, achieve business goals in your designated region, and execute product management strategies. You will gather customer insights, strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), and provide valuable market intelligence to support new product development. Additionally, you will organize Continuing Medical Education (CME) events and initiatives to enhance the company’s brand image.


Roles & Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing

  • Promote and launch new pharmaceutical products by executing Product Management Team’s strategies.

  • Analyze market trends, consult with doctors on product potential, and provide feedback to the Product Management Team.

  • Implement brand strategies and ensure product availability for successful product launches.

  • Monitor primary and secondary sales through visits to stockists and pharmacies.

  • Achieve doctor-specific and product-specific sales objectives.

Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis

  • Identify and engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Business Leaders (KELs).

  • Gather prescription trends and competitor insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Prepare product matrices based on doctors’ potential and preferences.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare providers and stakeholders.

  • Use Infoginip for timely query resolution.

  • Classify customers based on potential, define meeting frequency, and track ROI per customer.

  • Foster customer loyalty by ensuring consistent engagement and value delivery.

CME & Brand Development

  • Organize and manage Continuing Medical Education (CME) events aligned with customer interests and hospital needs.

  • Actively involve KOLs and KELs in CMEs to enhance brand visibility and credibility.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Update chemist, doctor, and Retail Chemist Prescription Audit (RCPA) data using palm-top devices and upload to the Unnati portal.

  • Participate in monthly review meetings to assess coverage, adherence to SOPs, and expense management.


Qualifications

Education: Graduate in Science (mandatory).
Experience: Minimum 6 months in pharmaceutical sales.
