About the Team – Antibody Development

The Antibody Team specializes in engineering and developing antibodies with a strong emphasis on reagent quality and specificity.

Core activities include:

  • Antibody design, development, purification, conjugation, and testing

  • Use of innovative tools and technologies for immunoassay applications

  • Driving advanced product development and generating scientific data to support global research use


Role Overview

As Scientist III – Protein Biology, you will lead antibody development workflows, ensuring high performance, specificity, and scientific excellence through molecular, protein, and cell biology techniques.

This leadership role involves supervising scientists, driving innovation, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and supervise a team of scientists in a matrix-style operation.

  • Provide technical, strategic, and operational guidance.

  • Mentor and train junior scientists in experimental design, execution, data interpretation, and presentation.

  • Drive conceptualization and innovation for protocol development and effective screening.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in antibody development to guide innovation and inter-team collaborations.

Scientific & Technical Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee antibody development and testing in a fast-paced research environment.

  • Apply expertise across molecular biology, cell biology, and protein biochemistry to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Troubleshoot scientific challenges and optimize processes for reproducibility.

  • Author and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Program Management, Operations, and Business Development teams to align with strategic objectives.

  • Contribute to product commercialization, including feasibility, development, and validation phases.

Communication & Reporting

  • Present research findings effectively through written reports, presentations, and cross-functional meetings.

  • Identify deviations from expected outcomes and suggest alternative strategies.


Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree with 15+ years of confirmed R&D experience, or

  • Ph.D. with 7+ years of experience in Life Sciences (e.g., Cell & Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry)

  • Minimum 3–4 years of industrial experience required.

Technical Expertise

  • Extensive experience in antibody development and engineering, including:

    • Hybridoma technology

    • Single B-cell and recombinant antibody platforms

  • Broad experience in:

    • Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Protein Design, Purification, and Conjugation

    • Immunoassays such as ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, IF, IHC

  • Strong background in Flow Cytometry:

    • Single-cell sorting, multicolor panel design, and rare population analysis

  • Familiarity with fluorescence microscopy and fluorescence detection technologies

  • Proven experience in product launches and commercialization workflows
