Role Overview

ICON Strategic Solutions, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare intelligence, is seeking a Pharmacovigilance Scientist to join its remote team in Mexico. This role is critical to ensuring patient safety through robust adverse event monitoring, safety signal detection, and regulatory compliance across pharmaceutical and clinical development programs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in drug safety, pharmacovigilance operations, and regulatory reporting, with a strong understanding of global safety regulations and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, review, and analyze adverse event (AE) and serious adverse event (SAE) reports in compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations.

  • Perform signal detection, risk assessment, and benefit–risk evaluations to identify potential safety concerns.

  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory safety reports and related documentation within defined timelines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and medical teams, to support safety investigations and inquiries.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations, guidelines, and best practices to continuously strengthen safety processes.

  • Ensure high standards of data quality, accuracy, and compliance across all pharmacovigilance activities.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.

  • 2–6 years of relevant experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or a closely related function within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO environment.

  • Strong understanding of ICH-GCP, ICH-E2 guidelines, and global safety reporting requirements.

  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail in data review and reporting.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, compliance, and patient safety.
