This position is ideal for experienced pharmacovigilance professionals seeking a senior-level role in global drug safety operations within a dynamic clinical research environment.

Role Overview

The Senior Pharmacovigilance Associate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of pharmaceutical products. The position involves leading pharmacovigilance activities, managing adverse event reporting, supporting signal detection, and ensuring adherence to international regulatory requirements.

This is a fully remote position based in Brazil, offering flexibility while contributing to global clinical development programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the collection, evaluation, and processing of adverse event (AE) reports in compliance with global regulatory guidelines and internal SOPs

  • Conduct in-depth safety data analysis to identify trends, potential safety signals, and risk factors

  • Prepare and submit Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs) and other aggregate safety reports in accordance with international regulations

  • Collaborate with medical and clinical teams to assess case narratives and determine clinical relevance

  • Support risk management planning and signal evaluation activities

  • Maintain pharmacovigilance database integrity, ensuring accurate and compliant documentation

  • Participate in regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring inspection readiness

  • Mentor and guide junior pharmacovigilance professionals

  • Monitor evolving global pharmacovigilance regulations and industry best practices to enhance safety systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related discipline (Master’s or advanced degree preferred)

  • Extensive experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety operations

  • Strong understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations and ICH guidelines

  • Proven expertise in adverse event case processing, signal detection, and regulatory reporting

  • Experience preparing PSURs and other aggregate safety reports

  • High level of English proficiency (written and verbal)

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Proficiency in pharmacovigilance databases and Microsoft Office tools

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, fast-paced environment

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive patient data
