Role Overview

ICON Strategic Solutions is seeking an experienced Pharmacovigilance Supervisor to oversee safety monitoring and regulatory reporting activities for clinical trials and post-marketing products. This home-based role in Mexico plays a critical leadership function in ensuring compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations while maintaining the highest standards of adverse event reporting and patient safety oversight.

The successful candidate will manage day-to-day pharmacovigilance operations, supervise safety teams, and collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen drug safety systems across development and marketed programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily pharmacovigilance operations, ensuring timely and accurate adverse event (AE) and serious adverse event (SAE) reporting

  • Oversee safety data collection, case processing, medical review coordination, and submission to global regulatory authorities

  • Ensure compliance with international pharmacovigilance regulations, ICH guidelines, and internal SOPs

  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Data Management teams to streamline safety workflows

  • Monitor quality metrics and implement continuous process improvements

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to pharmacovigilance staff

  • Support inspection readiness, audits, and regulatory inquiries

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, or related healthcare discipline

Experience Required

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Pharmacovigilance or Drug Safety

  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

  • Experience in clinical trial safety monitoring and/or post-marketing surveillance

  • Demonstrated experience in case processing, safety reporting, and regulatory submissions

  • Strong familiarity with global pharmacovigilance regulations including ICH, FDA, EMA, and LATAM guidelines

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in safety documentation

  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
