Overview

Genmab is seeking a CORE Intern to join its Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Epidemiology team. This summer internship provides hands-on experience in oncology research, real-world evidence (RWE), and outcomes analytics, offering exposure to how HEOR insights inform drug development, market access, and launch strategy.

The ideal candidate is a PhD student in Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Pharmaceutical Policy, or a closely related field, with strong analytical skills, proficiency in SAS or R, and experience working with claims or electronic health record datasets.


Key Responsibilities

Research & Data Analysis:

  • Conduct literature reviews and research on unmet needs, treatment guidelines, and clinical/economic/patient-reported outcomes.

  • Lead HEOR research projects, contributing to study design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.

  • Assist in early scientific advice preparation and medical/launch planning.

Reporting & Communication:

  • Develop and present PowerPoint slides and reports to cross-functional or extended teams.

  • Translate complex analytical insights into strategic recommendations for medical affairs and commercial teams.

Project Support:

  • Support HEOR and RWE initiatives demonstrating the value of oncology products approaching regulatory submission or launch.

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, RWE, and HEOR teams to contribute to meaningful, actionable outcomes.


Required Qualifications

  • PhD student who has completed coursework toward a PhD in Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Pharmaceutical Policy, or related fields.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and excellent at time management.

  • Proficiency in SAS or R programming and experience with claims and electronic health record datasets.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in oncology therapeutic areas.

  • Familiarity with AI tools for HEOR analyses.

  • Prior exposure to real-world evidence generation or outcomes research.


Internship Details

  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite in Princeton, NJ; 2 days remote.

  • Eligibility: PhD students in relevant fields; not eligible for sponsorship.

  • Experience: Gain practical exposure to health outcomes research, real-world evidence analysis, and epidemiology.

  • Mentorship & Development: Work closely with experienced HEOR and Medical Affairs professionals to build a strong career foundation.
