Role Summary:

The Territory Manager – CardioMetabolic Health is responsible for promoting Lilly’s cardiometabolic product portfolio to healthcare professionals and ensuring increased market presence in the assigned territory. The role includes value-based selling, HCP engagement, stockist management, and ethical compliance.


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Drive sales growth and market share by implementing territory-specific sales strategies.

  • Update and maintain target lists; develop territory action plans.

  • Promote Lilly’s cardiometabolic medicines using Value-Based Selling principles.

2. Customer Engagement

  • Build ethical, long-term relationships with HCPs, pharmacists, and nursing staff.

  • Organize and execute educational programs for HCPs, nurses, and pharmacists.

  • Respond to scientific inquiries and provide accurate product information.

3. Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and territory analysis to management.

  • Monitor competitor activity and gather field insights to guide strategy.

4. Event & Launch Coordination

  • Support new product launches and marketing programs within the territory.

  • Coordinate HCP meetings, conferences, and other promotional activities.

5. Stockist Interaction

  • Ensure product availability through regular stockist visits.

  • Conduct stock audits and manage inventory movement.

6. Compliance

  • Adhere to internal SOPs, UCPMP (Uniform Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices), and all applicable industry ethics codes.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or related field; MBA preferred

  • 2–5 years experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in MNCs

  • Strong knowledge of diabetes/metabolic segments; new launch experience preferred

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical compliance and ethical standards

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Willing to travel extensively within assigned territory

  • Energetic, self-driven, and results-oriented
