How You Will Make an Impact:

In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to create high-quality user documentation, animations, and videos that enhance the customer experience. By working closely with colleagues, you will discuss, plan, and implement documentation-focused projects that support a range of organizational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain user documentation to facilitate the use of our products and services.
  • Research and write hardware and software documentation for analytical instruments, including liquid, gas, and ion chromatographs, as well as mass spectrometers.
  • Create new animations and update existing ones to clarify workflows, installation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, product evaluation teams, project managers, and product managers to capture information accurately.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving the documentation process.
  • Engage in peer reviews of user documentation.
  • Develop documentation plans and write reusable, topic-based content.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in technical communication, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field focused on technical documentation, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 7+ years as a technical writer.
  • Experience in creating topic-based content for software and hardware installation, maintenance instructions, troubleshooting, and training materials, including standard operating procedures and manuals.
  • Familiarity with Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA)-based CCMS and authoring tools.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong command of English writing.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with screen-capture software and video production tools such as Captivate, Storyline, Camtasia, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Familiarity with mass spectrometry and chromatography instruments.

Additional Information:

Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide writing samples and may need to complete a test on camera or at our office.
