Senior Scientific Writer – Health Economics and Value Assessment (HEVA)

About the Role

Sanofi is seeking a Senior Scientific Writer – Health Economics and Value Assessment (HEVA) to join its Global Hub in Hyderabad. This role focuses on developing high-quality HEVA communications to support access, reimbursement, and value demonstration strategies for global and local business units. The successful candidate will manage the creation of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, and Core Value Dossiers, ensuring alignment with global HEVA communication plans and scientific standards.

This position provides an opportunity to influence strategic HEVA communications across multiple therapeutic areas and contribute to impactful evidence generation that informs healthcare decision-making worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

HEVA Communication & Content Development

  • Develop HEVA communications deliverables, including manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks, and Core Value Decks.

  • Ensure content aligns with Core Value Dossiers, US AMCP Dossiers, and other submission requirements.

  • Adapt global HEVA materials for local implementation as required.

  • Innovate HEVA value communications to enhance relevance and impact for access and reimbursement decisions.

  • Maintain therapeutic area expertise and provide guidance to junior HEVA writers.

  • Manage end-to-end publication processes through iEnvision (formerly Datavision/Matrix).

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with HEVA, RWE, and scientific communication teams globally and locally.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver HEVA content aligned with strategic objectives.

  • Support mentoring and knowledge sharing within the HEVA writing team.

Process & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to publication SOPs and compliance expectations relevant to HEVA communication processes.

  • Conduct publication-needs analysis and implement elements of the annual HEVA content plan.

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality HEVA communications.

  • Continuously improve content quality and delivery based on feedback from end-users and stakeholders.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in medical/scientific writing within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or academia.

  • Expertise in health economics, public health, epidemiology, or related scientific disciplines.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of Good Publication Practice (GPP), publication submission processes, and project management.

Education

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related discipline (Master’s, PharmD, Ph.D., or equivalent).

  • Medical degree or equivalent scientific qualification is preferred.

Language Requirements

  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
