Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Editor to join a leading global healthcare communications agency. This role is ideal for an editorial professional with a strong background in pharmaceutical advertising, exceptional attention to detail, and deep expertise in regulatory-compliant medical content.

As a Senior Editor, you will serve as the editorial lead for assigned brands, ensuring content accuracy, consistency, and adherence to AMA style and FDA guidance. You will collaborate cross-functionally with medical, legal, account, and creative teams to deliver high-quality, compliant deliverables across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, and clarity

  • Ensure strict adherence to AMA style guidelines and FDA regulatory standards

  • Verify the accuracy of medical, scientific, and promotional claims, data, and references

  • Act as the editorial brand owner, maintaining consistency across all brand materials

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and timelines

  • Communicate editorial feedback clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders

  • Support quality control processes throughout the content development lifecycle

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical advertising editorial roles

  • Proven expertise in AMA style and FDA promotional guidelines

  • Prior experience serving as an editorial lead or owning a brand

  • Strong understanding of healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences content development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Educational or professional background in science, medicine, pharmacy, or technical writing

  • Experience editing documents using Adobe Acrobat and related tools

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced agency environment
