Position Overview

The Senior Account Manager – Full-Service REMS is a seasoned program and project leader within the Global Risk Management and Full-Service REMS (GRMR) business. This role serves as the primary owner of client REMS programs, responsible for strategic planning, operational execution, financial oversight, and stakeholder management.

The position requires deep expertise in REMS program delivery, cross-functional leadership, and client relationship management. The Senior Account Manager is also expected to guide junior team members, set operational best practices, and ensure high-quality, compliant program outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Leadership

  • Serve as the primary client contact for assigned Full-Service REMS programs

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams

  • Translate client needs into clear program requirements and act as the final approver for deliverables

  • Proactively identify risks, escalate issues, and develop contingency plans to ensure program success

Program & Project Management

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of REMS programs from initiation through close-out

  • Manage complex REMS programs, including ETASU requirements and multi-vendor coordination

  • Launch and operationalize multiple REMS programs simultaneously while maintaining quality and compliance

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Syneos Health SOPs and client requirements

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and participate in sponsor and regulatory audits as required

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Own program budgets, revenue tracking, and invoicing activities

  • Monitor scope, timelines, and resource utilization to ensure programs are delivered on time and within budget

  • Utilize internal project management tools and tracking systems to meet milestones and performance objectives

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional program teams and act as the focal point for issue resolution

  • Begin providing oversight, mentoring, and leadership to account management staff

  • Communicate regularly with program leadership regarding project status, risks, scope changes, and opportunities

  • Facilitate client meetings, internal reviews, and executive-level presentations

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Thinking

  • Apply data-driven insights, industry best practices, and critical thinking to improve program performance

  • Challenge and refine client strategies in collaboration with program leadership when appropriate

  • Navigate ambiguity, changing priorities, and complex stakeholder environments with professionalism and adaptability


Required Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field

  • Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD) or project management certification (PMP or CAPM) preferred

Experience Level:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of demonstrated experience in account management, program management, or project leadership within REMS, risk management, pharmaceutical consulting, or life sciences services

  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional programs in a matrixed environment

Core Competencies & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of REMS program operations and regulatory requirements

  • Demonstrated project management expertise and familiarity with tools such as MS Project and SharePoint

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, presentation, and meeting facilitation capabilities

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, think critically, and drive results under pressure

  • High level of professionalism, adaptability, and problem-solving ability


Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range: USD $132,685 – $179,515

  • Compensation is based on experience, skills, and role-specific competencies

  • Eligibility for performance-based incentives or bonuses may apply
