About the Role:
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly experienced Senior PV Programmer Analyst to join its global Pharmacovigilance (PV) services team supporting the Oracle Argus safety database. This fully remote position (working East Coast US hours) offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of PV technology and global drug safety compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as subject matter expert in Oracle Argus database configuration, maintenance, and system administration

  • Develop and validate aggregate safety reports, custom reports, and ad-hoc reports using OBIEE, SQL, or built-in tools

  • Collaborate with PV users to gather requirements and propose effective data solutions

  • Lead and participate in data migration, validation, and system change control projects

  • Provide programming support to cross-functional teams for safety data review and report generation

  • Conduct impact assessments and assist during internal and external audits

  • Mentor junior PV programmers and participate in process improvement initiatives

  • Estimate effort, contribute to project bidding, and ensure on-time, in-scope delivery of assigned work

  • Liaise with stakeholders and clients to ensure high-quality output and compliance with SOPs, industry guidelines, and applicable regulations


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Life Sciences, Computer Science, or related field)

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Oracle Argus Safety Database

  • Proven experience in SQL programming, database management, and PV data workflows

  • Solid understanding of relational database architecture and Argus configuration/mapping rules

  • Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., PL/SQL, Python, or similar)

  • Prior experience supporting data audits, migrations, or regulatory reporting activities

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain precision under pressure

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of effective teamwork in a matrixed, remote environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational excellence
