Job Overview

Exelixis is seeking an experienced Senior Oncology Account Manager to lead strategic commercial execution across the Tulsa and Oklahoma City territory. This role is designed for a high-performing oncology sales professional with strong market expertise, established healthcare relationships, and the ability to independently manage complex accounts. You will act as a trusted partner to oncology healthcare professionals while contributing to cross-functional initiatives that support brand growth, patient access, and compliant scientific exchange.

This position offers the opportunity to influence regional strategy, support new product launches, and mentor peers while upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic account and territory plans across a complex, multi-city geography to drive sustained business performance.

  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with oncologists, healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, and institutional stakeholders.

  • Promote appropriate and compliant use of Exelixis oncology therapies through high-quality scientific and clinical discussions.

  • Utilize advanced analytics, market insights, and competitive intelligence to refine territory strategy and influence internal planning.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, access, reimbursement, and medical teams to address clinical, operational, and access-related challenges.

  • Represent field insights in brand planning and contribute to tactical and strategic innovation initiatives.

  • Identify emerging market trends, unmet clinical needs, and competitive threats within the territory.

  • Lead strategic pull-through initiatives in partnership with payer and access teams.

  • Serve as a field ambassador for new product launches, pilots, and enterprise-wide initiatives.

  • Support regional leadership with business planning, training support, and performance calibration activities.

  • Act as a mentor and subject-matter resource for less-experienced team members, sharing best practices and supporting professional development.

  • Consistently model excellence in compliance, ethical engagement, and professional conduct.


Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of oncology sales experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.

  • Proven product launch experience within oncology is required.

  • Demonstrated success managing complex territories and high-value oncology accounts.


Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) with 9+ years of relevant commercial experience, or

  • Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or

  • An equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Work Environment and Travel

  • Field-based role with up to 50% travel across the assigned territory.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: USD 181,500 – 232,000 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, skills, and internal equity.
