About the Team – Antibody Team

The Antibody Team focuses on engineering and developing high-quality, specific antibodies. Key activities include:

  • Antibody design, development, purification, and conjugation

  • Testing in various immunoassay applications

  • Creating product-specific information for research use

  • Utilizing cutting-edge tools and technologies for reagent development


Role Summary

As Scientist II, you will be part of the Antibody Engineering Group, focusing on the development and testing of recombinant antibodies. You will play a key role in protocol development, cross-functional collaboration, and innovation in antibody design and application.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and lead antibody engineering and testing in a fast-paced environment

  • Provide informal leadership and technical oversight to scientists in a matrix team structure

  • Mentor junior scientists on research design, experimental execution, data interpretation, and presentation

  • Drive conceptual and protocol development for successful handoff to operations

  • Support innovation and collaboration across departments

  • Work closely with product management, program management, operations, and business development to meet program goals


Education & Experience Requirements

Required:

  • Master’s degree with 2–8 years of relevant experience
    OR

  • PhD with 1–3 years of relevant experience

  • Fields: Life Sciences, Protein Design, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry


Technical Skills & Expertise

  • Antibody/protein engineering and rational mutant design

  • Molecular biology and sequence analysis

  • Protein purification and characterization

  • Application testing: Western blotting, flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry

  • Experience with structural biology tools: PyMOL, Schrödinger, Discovery Studio (or similar)

  • Antibody conjugation and conjugation chemistry

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

  • Strong statistical analysis skills (e.g., GraphPad Prism)


Soft Skills

  • Self-starter with quick learning ability

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Team player with a collaborative mindset
