About the Role

Join one of the largest Clinical Research Organizations in the world at our Early Phase Clinical Research Unit in Madison, WI. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you'll work directly with healthy volunteer participants, helping to establish the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of investigational drugs during the earliest phases of clinical development.

This is a fast-paced, weekend night shift role where you'll gain experience across a wide range of Therapeutic Indications and study types, including:

  • First-in-human trials

  • Ascending dose studies

  • Drug-to-drug interaction studies

  • Food effect studies

This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in hands-on, protocol-driven environments and want to contribute meaningfully to the future of medicine.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Research Duties

  • Perform and document vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, and weight

  • Conduct venipuncture and assist with biological sample collection and processing per protocol

  • Accurately prepare and record ECGs/Holters

  • Monitor dietary compliance of participants during meals

  • Assist with preparing medical equipment and clinic rooms

  • Support screening procedures for study participants

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment

  • Follow all study protocols without deviation

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Active RN license in applicable state

Certifications

  • CPR/AED certification required

  • ACLS certification required (must be current)

Experience

  • 2–3 years of nursing experience required

  • Clinical research or critical care experience is a plus

  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education
