Job Title: Per Diem Home Injection Nurse Educator – Oakland, CA
Job Summary
Syneos Health is seeking an experienced Per Diem Home Injection Nurse Educator in Oakland, California to support patients through disease state education and injection training. This field-based role empowers registered nurses (RNs) to deliver critical, in-home support, improving outcomes and enhancing adherence for patients across multiple therapeutic areas. This flexible, part-time opportunity is ideal for compassionate professionals passionate about clinical education and hands-on care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one post-prescription education and training to patients and caregivers on injection devices and treatment protocols.
Demonstrate correct injection techniques and educate on disease state management.
Conduct visits within 5 days of assignment or as scheduled with the patient.
Submit post-training documentation and surveys within 24 hours of session completion.
Travel within a 3-hour radius, including occasional overnight stays if required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Active RN license in good standing in California.
2–5+ years of clinical experience, ideally in patient training, education, or injection therapy.
Availability for 2+ days per week, including evenings and weekends.
Proficiency with personal technologies (iPhones, mobile apps, health portals).
Strong communication and patient engagement skills.
Comfort with autonomous, home-based work and clinical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in rare disease therapies or specialty injectables.
Previous experience as a nurse trainer, patient advocate, or home care nurse.
