About the Role:
Join one of the world’s largest Clinical Research Organizations, with four Early Phase Clinical Research Units across the UK and US. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a weekend night shift role in Madison, WI, to provide clinical care to healthy volunteer participants while supporting complex research protocols.

This position is full-time, on-site, and strictly scheduled for weekend nights: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 PM to 6 AM CST. You will gain hands-on experience across a variety of therapeutic areas and study designs, including first-in-human trials, ascending dose studies, food effect trials, and drug-drug interaction research.

As an RN in Phase 1 clinical trials, you will work closely with participants, maintain and expand your clinical expertise, and be part of innovative research that contributes directly to patient care worldwide.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical care using nursing skills, knowledge, and professional judgment

  • Accurately perform vital signs assessments: blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, weight, and venipuncture

  • Prepare and record ECGs and Holters accurately

  • Collect, process, and distribute biological samples according to study protocols

  • Monitor participant meals for dietary compliance

  • Assist in preparing clinical rooms and medical equipment

  • Support screening and other study-related procedures as needed

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized study environment

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical research


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN/ADN) with current state licensure

  • CPR/AED certified; ACLS certification required

  • 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience; additional experience may substitute for education requirements

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, protocol-driven environment where strict timelines must be met

  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with electronic data collection and technology-based clinical tools


Physical & Work Requirements:

  • Ability to work upright or stationary for 6–8 hours per shift

  • Repetitive hand movements required to operate lab and clinical equipment

  • Occasional crouching, stooping, bending, or twisting

  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 15–20 lbs

  • Flexibility to work weekend nights consistently
