Overview

Domnic Lewis has been mandated to hire a Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) for the Lucknow region.
The Field-Based Scientific Expert (FSE) plays a pivotal role in implementing the Medical Affairs Plan for pre-launch and post-launch products or indications.
The role focuses on scientific engagement, evidence generation, and strategic collaboration with healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders to improve patient outcomes and ensure safe, effective medicine use.


Key Responsibilities

1. Scientific Engagement & Strategy

  • Execute medical plans and tactics within the assigned therapeutic area and geography.

  • Maintain up-to-date scientific and clinical expertise in relevant disease areas, therapies, and emerging innovations.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the Field Medical Strategic Plan (FMSP).

  • Serve as a scientific subject matter expert (SME) for internal teams and external stakeholders.

2. Scientific Exchange

  • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions with healthcare professionals and Key External Experts (KEEs).

  • Provide unbiased, evidence-based responses to unsolicited medical information requests.

  • Deliver scientific presentations at educational meetings, symposia, and advisory boards.

  • Support investigator-initiated and local studies; assist in protocol discussions and site identification.

3. Customer Insights & Intelligence

  • Identify and communicate emerging scientific and clinical trends that may impact medical strategy.

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify gaps in patient care and suggest data-driven solutions.

  • Gather field intelligence to support strategic decision-making and medical planning.

4. Strategic Relationships & Collaboration

  • Develop and maintain credible, trust-based relationships with medical experts and thought leaders.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders such as marketing, clinical, and regulatory teams.

  • Engage with government bodies, payer groups, and healthcare organizations to support access to innovative treatments.

5. Digital & Innovation Focus

  • Utilize digital tools and platforms for effective, compliant scientific communication.

  • Support digital transformation initiatives that enhance field medical activities and stakeholder engagement.

  • Apply data analytics and technology-driven insights to strengthen medical strategy execution.

6. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), pharmacovigilance, and ethical standards.

  • Adhere to company policies, SOPs, and all applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Promote a culture of integrity and transparency in all scientific engagements.


Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Master’s degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline (e.g., M.Pharm, M.Sc., M.B.B.S.).

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong project management and organizational abilities.

  • Analytical and critical thinking with a focus on patient outcomes.

Desirable

  • Doctoral degree (M.D., Ph.D., Pharm.D.) or equivalent qualification.

  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, clinical research, or regulatory affairs.

  • Sound understanding of the local therapeutic landscape and treatment pathways.

  • Experience collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals.
