Role Overview

The Senior Field Clinical Specialist will support Abbott’s Vascular division by providing expert clinical leadership and oversight across clinical research, trial execution, and data collection activities. This fully remote role is open to qualified candidates located anywhere in the United States.

Abbott Vascular develops innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective solutions that advance the treatment of vascular disease. In this position, you will play a critical role in supporting global clinical affairs, acting as a highly experienced resource for planning, executing, and monitoring clinical trials.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the direction, planning, and execution of clinical trials and research programs within Global Clinical Affairs.

  • Support the implementation of clinical protocols and facilitate completion of study documentation and final reports.

  • Recruit investigators, negotiate study parameters, and collaborate on study design and budget.

  • Direct human clinical trials, primarily Phase III and Phase IV, for products under development.

  • Participate in adverse event reporting and ongoing safety monitoring.

  • Coordinate and prepare regulatory reports for submission to appropriate authorities.

  • Monitor protocol adherence within clinical settings and evaluate study completion.

  • Oversee investigator-initiated and group research studies.

  • Serve as a consultant or liaison for external partners involved in licensing agreements.

  • Travel up to 80% as required by clinical operations and study needs.


Required Qualifications and Experience

Required

  • Associate degree.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a Cath Lab and/or Medical Device environment.

Preferred

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) with Cath Lab experience.

  • Experience in medical device field operations.

  • Clinical trial or clinical research experience.


Compensation

Base Salary Range:
USD 75,300 – 150,700 annually
(Compensation may vary based on geographical location and relevant experience.)
